Inexpectations for the eye

some weeks ago I came over a documentary about Eriks kessels interests for photos and advertising. He is an illustrator and makes photobooks of amateur photos. His work and thoughts fascinates me and it actually gave me a whole new perspective on photography. I thought it was something as caught-of-moment or memory thing but now I see that the story of the photo is just as important as the compisition. I'm not a photographer but I do wanna learn since I wanna write stories with photos and words. I also want a photobook of him to maybe inspire me. He really gets the inexpection of the photos, and has an eye for interesting stories.
