Freaks of nature

or the natures wonders of Palenque. Call it what you want but here you have a free taste of my week in Palenque, Chiapas, Mexico. The species that exists in Palenque inspires me to buy a book especially talking about plants, trees and flowers. Probably we were the most freaky looking species in the jungle like monkeys without hair. Sadly I didn't get to see any howlers (saraguatos), screaming monkeys, on close-up but I got to see and hear them in their very own nature.

A zarigueya which we at first thought was a big weird jungle rat.

Where not to take a shower then in the jungle when you actually are in the jungle.

But why shower when we have all this rain.

The yummy climate gives us various species.

Psychadelic-looking mushrooms also grow here.

And a nude-monkey.

...and you got to see a jungle rat in my house that i have never seen there before? Kramkram fran karro
